2012 year in review & favorite tutorials - Oh and a thank you...please read!

2012 was a doozy of a year, my husband graduated and started a job, I got to try a lot of maternity and post maternity refashions and tutorials on my blog, I started a job, and most of all I had my baby Oliver.
Looking back, there are a few things I've learned over the past year. My only regret is basically letting my blog stay at a stand still. I didn't do anything to promote myself, I didn't re-brand my blog or re-do my design, I just blogged. I want to blame that on being pregnant/having a baby. But I think that is NO excuse. I lost an entire year! I mean, I could be in a whole different place right now if I didn't have so many walls of excuses and I wasn't so limited by my own indecisiveness.
On the other hand, not putting my blog first gave me a whole new outlook on life. I realized, if something effects my family life then just let it be and finish it another time, the stress/anger/annoyance/frustration needs to be temporarily forgotten and set aside until I do have time to finish. Family is number one. This year I enjoyed family. I didn't blog everyday, I didn't think about my blog every minute. I had fun! I was stress-free most (some) of the time. And I thank you guys for letting me do that. For being patient with me, being there for me, and leaving me uplifting comments and emails. Although I do not respond or comment back all the time, I do read everything, and I appreciate it all. THANK YOU THANK YOU.
Over the last month or so (really since last spring), I have been thinking about my future goals and plans with the blog, a career, an education, and my family. I have a lot of things in the workings and I'm hoping you guys will be there to jump on board...mainly because my blog is going to give you guys a VOICE! I'm excited! I'm hoping by mid January, these new goals will make themselves known and you all will come be a part of it.
This year is going to be different in a good way....I can feel it. I'm letting the walls down. Woot woot! 2013 is going to be a great, great year!! I hope you will be there for the ride.

And now for the finale.............
These were my favorite (yes there are many, but I had a hard time choosing) tutorials over the past year.

Sheer high low dress tutorial

non-maternity and maternity maxi dress/skirt tutorial
flattering tee refashion tutorial

  1. Wow, that's a lot of good tutorials! I think your blogging year 2012 was pretty successful! =) I know what you mean about wanting to reach out more, but I seriously envy you the stress-free blogging state. There was so much change and chaos in my life in 2012 but I still pushed myself to blog all the time, and I definitely went a little crazy. I'm still trying to find the balance! Here's to 2013!

    1. That was me in 2011 (and the beginning of 2012), but I really had to teach myself to let go. I think having the second helped to let go. I almost had no choice, it forced me into that mind set. But I'm planning on going a little crazy this year. I feel like the crazier I feel, the better my blog.
      Happy new year friend!

    1. Thats what I did in 2010. And look at me know! I'm not the best, but I kind of know what I'm doing. By the end of the year, I felt more confident. I just did lots of patterns and practiced everyday while Beck was napping. Good luck!

    1. Oh thank you....it seriously makes me so happy to hear that.

I'm so sad that Beck is already 3 and a half! Heart breaking. Hence the last year taking so much time off.

    1. That is a relief. I thought that my readers were bored with me not posting as much as I used to. That is good to know.

    1. Thank you, I guess I have been a little hard on myself. Sometimes I spill out everything on my mind and push publish before I second guess myself. I want my readers to know whats up with me. Thanks for cheering me up!
